MISSION STATEMENT
WHO WE ARE...
The Southbury Democratic Town Committee (SDTC) was founded in 2009 as the official Southbury, CT, organization representing the Democratic Party of the State of Connecticut.
The SDTC represents the Town’s registered Democrats. As such it is responsible for identifying, endorsing and helping to elect qualified Democratic candidates at the local, state and federal levels. The organization actively promotes citizen participation in the political process and provides information to raise residents’ awareness of opportunities and issues facing the town of Southbury, our state and our nation, and the international community.
The Committee is limited to 30 members who are elected to two year terms, currently led by Chairman, Michael Carrington. Members must be registered, Democratic voters living in Southbury.
The Friends of the Southbury Democratic Town Committee is a group of volunteers and committed supporters of Democratic values in Southbury. If you’d like to get involved, please CLICK HERE.

WHY WE DO THIS...

Members of the SDTC recruit, develop and support highly qualified, fiscally responsible candidates who share our vision of keeping Southbury a vibrant, affordable and desirable place to live. While looking toward the betterment of our community, state and national issues are always a part of our plan.
At our monthly meetings, Democratic town and state officials update us on the issues important to Southbury. If you would like to connect with fellow Democrats who are engaged and interested in making Southbury a better place to live, please join us at one of our monthly meetings. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month, unless otherwise specified and the schedule is regularly updated on this website.
